FAQ
- General Questions
What is MedicalVault?
MedicalVault is a closed-domain medical AI system that answers clinical and academic questions using a proprietary prompting algorithm designed to extract source-verified, hallucination-resistant responses from leading large language models. Every answer is constrained to cite traceable medical sources — including textbook title, edition, and page references — rather than drawing from unverified internet content or speculation.
Who is MedicalVault designed for?
MedicalVault is built for physicians, surgeons, residents, fellows, advanced medical students, academic clinicians, and other healthcare professionals who require source-verifiable medical information. It is not designed for patients or casual use.
How is MedicalVault different from ChatGPT, Google, or other AI tools?
Standard AI tools respond freely from a mixture of internet data, forums, blogs, and unverified sources. MedicalVault applies a proprietary prompting and filtering algorithm that forces the underlying model to restrict its responses to established medical literature. It will not speculate, paraphrase from noise, or generate information it cannot attribute to a credible medical source. Think of it as a disciplined layer of intelligence placed between you and raw AI output.
Is MedicalVault a diagnostic tool or AI doctor?
No. MedicalVault is a medical reference and reasoning tool. It does not diagnose patients, prescribe treatments, or replace clinical judgment. Think of it as a conversational medical reference system, not a virtual physician.
How It Works
How does MedicalVault generate answers?
When you submit a question, MedicalVault passes it through its proprietary algorithm, which structures and constrains the query before it reaches the underlying AI model. The algorithm instructs the model to respond only from its internalized knowledge of peer-reviewed medical literature and established textbooks — explicitly prohibiting speculation, internet-sourced information, and unverifiable claims. The model is then required to output a citation for every substantive claim it makes.
What kind of sources does MedicalVault cite?
The system is prompted to reference established medical textbooks and peer-reviewed literature, including title, edition, chapter, and page number where applicable. Citations are a required output component — not optional or decorative.
What if the AI can't find a reliable source for an answer?
MedicalVault instructs the model to explicitly flag uncertainty rather than fill gaps with speculation. In medicine, a transparent "I don't have a sourced answer for this" is far more valuable than a confident but fabricated one. The system is designed to surface that silence rather than paper over it.
Does MedicalVault browse the internet?
No. The algorithm explicitly prohibits the model from drawing on real-time internet data, news, forums, or any non-medical noise. Responses are constrained to the model's internalized medical knowledge base, filtered and structured by our proprietary prompting layer.
Can I trust the citations?
Citations are a mandatory output enforced by the algorithm. The model is required to attribute every claim to a specific source. While we recommend verifying critical citations independently — as with any reference tool — the system is designed to produce attributable, traceable answers rather than anonymous assertions.
